Whether you have ten Pinterest boards full of gown ideas, a dozen magazine clippings, or no style preference at all, it always come down to how you feel when you’re in a gown to know if it’s the perfect one for your dream wedding.
Andrea had no idea what she wanted going into her appointment, but left with a beautiful gown! Andrea and Tyler were married on August 27, 2016 at Foxhall Resort and Sporting Club at Legacy Lookout, Andrea wearing a stunning Ellis of London gown.
I had absolutely zero idea what type of gown I wanted! Tyler completely shocked me with the proposal so my Pinterest board was only in the toddler stages of development when I started looking for a gown.
Wedding Angels was the first place I tried on dresses. I had a lot of friends that had purchased their dress from Wedding Angels and I wanted to trust that my first wedding dress experience would be a positive one and not stressful or traumatic. I booked the appointment having complete faith that I’d leave happy even if I didn’t find a dress.
I worked with Catherine who has several years of experience in the wedding industry. She was warm yet also down to earth, so I felt like I could be completely honest with her about each dress.
From my stylist’s suggestion, I tried on a variety of styles so I could narrow down what I liked, which was very helpful. I quickly learned the Cinderella ballgown was not a right fit for my body but it was so fun to try on!
I never once felt rushed or pressured to decide on a dress at Wedding Angels, which I was worried about before starting the shopping experience. There were plenty of options within my price range and there was a large variety of each style!
I was drawn to my gown by the way it made me feel! I immediately felt my body become more confident and my smile was a mile wide. I picked the dress based off the way I felt in that moment – sexy, bridal, feminine and like one of a kind!
There were so many perfect moments of our wedding day it’s hard to pick just one. One of my favorites moments was when my soon-to-be husband saw me walk down the aisle and started crying, and when I heard him recite his vows to me and it all became real. We’ll also never forget when we first tasted the mac-and-cheese and realized how amazing it was. But better than the mac-and-cheese may have been when my new husband danced to Ginuwine’s Pony song – my mouth stayed open in shock the entire time. Another favorite part of the evening was when our chauffeur got lost after the reception and we had to get out of the car in the pitch black to direct him out of the woods! Every moment that day with my husband was my favorite. How cheesy!
