Greg and I have known each other since we were 11 years old and have stayed in touch throughout the years into adulthood. He was my first boyfriend in middle school and he spent many mornings in homeroom throughout high school teasing me. Sometimes love is all about timing. We each had some life to live and maturing to do before we came back together. The timing was finally right in both of our lives to get to know each other as adults and friends. We started talking daily in March 2016, a time when life had presented both of us with some difficult challenges. We talked daily for three months and then started commuting to see each other between Atlanta and Kansas City through 2017. We got engaged March 15, 2017.
I wanted an outdoor fairytale,fantasy mood for my wedding with an earthy feel. We went with teal, lavender and forest green with silver accents as our color scheme. Our center pieces consisted of antique books, lanterns, candles and flowers. We displayed hand painted signs, various candles and lanterns with a large hand designed greenery and flower decorated chandelier.
I loved the lace pattern over the champagne color of the bottom of my dress, plus the transparent portion that was fitted around my back and bodice. The dress design is very unique and had a very expensive feel. Just a beautiful dress that took my breath away when I had it completely fitted. I received many compliments that day, as well as after the ceremony.
I had a great overall experience at Wedding Angels. My fittings ran very smoothly and I felt like the staff really heard my feedback and were able to deliver on the picture I had in my mind.
