Real Bride Spotlight: Lauren

Updated: Mar 13, 2020

Hunter and Lauren were married on November 18th, 2017 in Brevard, North Carolina.  They chose destination for the location of the chapel at which they had their ceremony. It was the perfect setting for saying their I do's

Hunter and I met in college at the University of North Georgia in Dahlonega, tucked away in the North Georgia mountains. We were together for a little over three years when, on one beautiful spring day, Hunter lured me to me favorite spot in Georgia, Gibbs Gardens. I showed up alone, thinking I was going to be meeting someone who would help me with a career in event planning. Completely surprised and shocked, I saw Hunter standing in the middle of the garden. I walked over to him, he got down on one knee, and of course I said yes! We were then joined by family and friends that were hiding behind the trees.

Our wedding theme was a modern and comfortable twist with a romantic vibe. Under the clear top tent, guests were surrounded by hanging lights and candles. We had a small trio band which set the romantic theme just right. Our colors were jade and copper with pops of peach and white.

My favorite memory from my wedding day was when my dad and I walked down the aisle for me to meet my groom. Just before our descend, a white curtain was pulled back and Hunter saw me for the first time as his bride. He bursted into tears and could not contain his raw emotions. That will forever be my favorite memory of all time.

My favorite part of my dress was the bodice. The top was a chantilly lace with a nude underlay as well as lace capped sleeves and a v-neck. The bottom was tule with a small train. It was indeed, my dream dress!

Wedding Angels was such an amazing experience! I went to 3 other bridal shops before going to them and there was no comparison. I felt confident I would find my dress as soon as I walked through the door. I got my veil from them as well, it could not have matched more perfectly. Picking out the groomsmens suits was a breeze. They knew what looked good and had great customer service from beginning to end!
